If you've read the book, you will be disappointed. But even my friend who had not read the book was disappointed by the underdevelopment of the characters, the quick switches from scene to scene, and of course the director's obvious desire for the audience to leave the theater bawling. I feel as though the focus was solely on including some of the major plot points from the book but not on developing the storylines that lead up to them. While there were some touching parts of the film, I didin't find myself needing a tissue. I guess I am just a bit heartless as well. I liked AWAY WE GO much more than I did this one. OMG it is great!! Super acting and sooooooo moving. Bring the kleenex, from start to finish you will be glued to your seat. The characters gel so nicely together. MUST SEE!!
