The Oscar goes to...

The 82nd annual Academy Awards are a wrap. All in all it was an interesting evening. George Clooney seemed to have a never ending attitude that could not be soothed. The costume design winner did not appreciate her win and her crap of an acceptance speech was laughable. Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin proved to be quite the pair as the hosts of this year’s show. Despite Martin & Baldwin’s multiple jokes I found the show stopper to be Ben Stiller’s “Avatar” impersonation. In the end JoReviews tallied 15 out of the 24 winners correctly. Below is a complete list of the 2009 Oscar winners.

New neighborhood restaurant featuring fast, fresh and affordable food hosts benefit night for Children’s Mercy Hospital.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 3, 2010) Noodles & Company, the restaurant that serves made-to-order noodles, soups and salads inspired from around the world, will open its doors on The Country Club Plaza Sunday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. The new restaurant is located at 540 Nichols Road at the intersection of Nichols Road and Jefferson Street.

In celebration of the opening, the public is invited to a pre-opening fundraiser at the new Noodles & Company restaurant on Friday, March 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The restaurant will donate 100 percent of the sales generated from the fundraiser to Children’s Mercy Hospital, one of the nation’s top pediatric medical centers in Kansas City.

“The Plaza is one of the preeminent shopping and dining landmarks in the country, so we are thrilled to be a part of it. This opening marks the beginning of several new restaurant openings we have planned in the area this year. In fact, we will double our presence in Kansas City by the end of 2010,” said Kevin Reddy, CEO and chairman of Noodles & Company. “At Noodles, giving back and supporting our local communities is part of our culture. We look forward to kicking off our involvement by supporting Children’s Mercy Hospital, and children and families in the Kansas City area and beyond.”

MACGRUBER

Only one American hero has earned the rank of Green Beret, Navy SEAL and Army Ranger. Just one operative has been awarded 16 purple hearts, 3 Congressional Medals of Honor and 7 presidential medals of bravery. And only one guy is man enough to still sport a mullet. In 2010, Will Forte brings Saturday Night Live’s clueless soldier of fortune to the big screen in the action comedy MacGruber.

In the 10 years since his fiancée was killed, special op MacGruber has sworn off a life of fighting crime with his bare hands. But when he learns that his country needs him to find a nuclear warhead that’s been stolen by his sworn enemy, Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer), MacGruber figures he’s the only one tough enough for the job.

Assembling an elite team of experts—Lt. Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig)—MacGruber will navigate an army of assassins to hunt down Cunth and bring him to justice. His methods may be unorthodox. His crime scenes may get messy. But if you want the world saved right, you call in MacGruber.
