Edokko

Newly opened around the beginning of the year this restaurant has been renovated beautifully. After walking in you will see a coy pond and unique art on display. We promptly were seated and presented with a sushi menu, photos included. Being new to sushi I really appreciated this as seeing what you are ordering and getting full details is great knowledge to have.

While deciding on what to order we sampled a couple appetizers and ordered crab rangoon and crab cakes. Both were amazing. The crab rangoon was superb, definitely the best. The crab cakes were not light on the crab and were very fresh. When picking our sushi rolls we found them reasonably priced. Our selections included cucumber, avocado tuna, spicy tuna and philly roll. All the rolls were delicious. Some of the freshest meat I have ever had and very appealing to the eye. Wanting to dine on something other than the sushi I ordered chicken teriyaki with fried rice. The chicken was bursting with flavor and the fried rice was supreme to all others.

The staff was very attentive to all patrons and made great suggestions on what to order. With the freshest meat and fish and mouthwatering dishes this place is a must. I love sushi and live in Lenexa. I never heard of this place. I am looking forward to visiting this weekend. I also suggest Sakura’s in Shawnee, KS off 75th and Nieman. It is the only true Sushi train that travels around the bar displaying food for the taking. The also have a steak house, but the sushi/sashimi is the best.
