DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX Movie Review

A beautiful story brought to life. “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” tells the tale of a young boy who goes searching for a real tree to impress a girl he is head over heels for. In their small town everything is plastic and nothing has true beauty. When Audrey (voice of Taylor Swift) tells Ted (voice of Zac Efron) about the gorgeous trees that use to grow freely he is enthralled. He wants nothing more then to give her the one gift that only he could find. After speaking with his Grammy Norma (voice of Betty White) he discovers the only way to find a tree is to leave the safety of town and search for The Once-ler (voice of Ed Helms).

Once on the outskirts of town Ted sees the destruction and loss that is behind their closed off world. Everything is so gloomy and destitute. When Ted meet The Once-ler he learns about the beautiful trees and how they all were destroyed. He tells Ted about The Lorax (voice of Danny Devito), protector of the nature who warned him against destroying the trees.

Despite the warnings he went on with his selfish ways which were life changing, that eventually left him all alone. The Once-ler does have one seed left. He instructs Ted to be strong and take it into town and plant it in the middle of the town for everyone to see and appreciate in the hopes that people will change their minds about trees and once again want them to grow.

Of course Ted will face many challenges in trying to succeed in his mission, but with the help of his love Audrey and his Grammy, Ted will change the town’s view and give them natural beauty that can only be found from the stunning colorful trees. “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” is a vibrant and stunning story that will give an audience an admiration of the wonderful story. I enjoying every second of humor and beauty that unfolded. One of the best films for children to see and adults to enjoy just as much!
