The Hangover Part II Movie Review
It’s Vegas all over again for Phil, Stu and Alan in “The Hangover Part II”. The most anticipated film of summer is here and does not disappoint. Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married and trying to make sure that his bachelor party is a simple brunch at Ihop with his best buds Doug (Justin Bartha) and Phil (Bradley Cooper). Not very happy about his decision they decide to let the subject die, until Bangkok.
With a last minute invite to Stu’s wedding, Alan (Zach Galifianakis) boards the plane with his best buddies and all are in route to beautiful Thailand, where Stu will marry his fiancé in the country she is from. After a pre-wedding brunch his buddies and fiancé convince Stu to enjoy one last beer by a bon fire on the beach.
Hours later when the fire has turned to ash the boys wake up in a shit hole motel in Bangkok, again with no memory of how they got there or what happened. They are not alone this time as Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong) is in the room and tells them of how they partied in Bangkok. This time Doug is not missing, Teddy (Mason Lee), the bride’s brother is. With less then twenty four hours till the wedding the guys must locate
Teddy and return to the island in time for the ceremony.
“The Hangover Part II” is what you will expect. I don’t think it was better then the first but it did a great job at being just as good. The first one had magic to it that can’t be upstaged. There was a wide variety of shock factors that have you amazed that they pushed it that far. By miles the funniest film I have seen this year. Another superb job by Cooper, Helms and Galifianakis who still prove to have that great chemistry. Not to be missed.
